This year The Burlesque Blitz is theming up for the times. The Blitz will be celebrating this cold cold week between Christmas and New Year's, with more readings and a lecture than Naked people. A reading of a new musical on Wednesday based on the lives of pioneering burlesque and vaudeville stars Lydia Thompson, Lillian Russell, and Kitty Klondike Kate Rockwell.

New York City construction worker turned actor James Duke Walker has joined the cast of the staged reading of Gunpowder at the Kraine Theater on Wednesday December 27.

The reading will be held at the Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan) at 8:00 PM, with a cocktail reception starting at 7pm.
