Last night, at New Conservatory Theater Center's annual Season Announcement Party for subscribers, donors, artists and press, NCTC Founder & Artistic Director Ed Decker announced the line-up for the 2016-17 subscription season, which marks the 35th anniversary of the company. Regarded nationally and internationally as San Francisco's Premier LGBQI and Allied Theatre Company, NCTC breaks new ground with a season that features eight powerhouse plays and musicals, including three world premieres developed through NCTC's New Play Development Lab.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the return of the extraordinary Varla Jean Merman to the Renberg Theatre. Long a favorite with Renberg audiences, Varla (the drag persona of New Orleans native Jeffery Roberson) will take the stage again after a 10-year absence during which the acclaimed performer did extensive research in outer space. Her new solo show, the science fiction-themed Varla Jean Merman's Big Black Hole, is the culmination of this long and grueling research. It will play for three nights only at the Renberg Theatre on April 1, 2 and 3.

The Onyx continues its Tenth Anniversary Season with Sordid Lives, a black comedy about white trash, written by Del Shores and directed by Producing Director Troy Heard.

The recurring 90-minute variety talk show, TRIPLE THREAT w/ Kimball Allen, is coming back to the Triple Door mainstage on Thursday, March 31st 2016 for another all-star lineup of performances including:

 "Orange is the New Black" star Lea DeLaria will make her anticipated debut with the celebrated Broadway series at the Parker Playhouse produced by Mark Cortale, for one show only on Saturday, February 13 at 8:00 PM, joined by special guest host drag superstar Varla Jean Merman. The series is curated by SiriusXM radio host Seth Rudetsky, referred to as "The Mayor of Broadway" by the New York Times." Next up in the series will be Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominated superstar Vanessa Williams on March 22, and Darren Criss, star of TV's Glee on April 19, both hosted by Rudetsky. Feinstein's at the Nikko is thrilled to welcome back Emmy Award winner, Leslie Jordan, for two performances of his brand-new one-man show, Not In My House! - Today, November 13 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, November 14 (7 p.m.). An active supporter of the LGBT community, Jordan was inspired to create his new show after a headline-making confrontation with a pair of assailants using anti-gay slurs while at his local West Hollywood Starbucks. Jordan began yelling the phrase, 'Not in my house!,' while helping to lead the pair out of the establishment. The confrontation ended with police arriving to assist. The creator of the Sordid Lives franchise and writer/director/producer of Southern Baptist Sissies, Blues for Willadean and Queer Is Folk is back with all new hysterical, sordid stories.

Candice Guardino is adding to her list of successful theatrical productions with the debut of Gilda and Margarette, a sketch comedy show. Gilda and Margarette, will perform once a month at 9pm at Second City in Los Angeles.
