Tired of heated, controversial Presidential debates? Well last night, Laura Osnes, Frank DiLella, Nikki M. James and Andrew Keenan-Bolger switched gears to analyze the 2016 Broadway Debate.

Votes are cast; polls are closed; and results have been tabulated! This was our biggest year yet! After a record number of voters in more than 70 regions worldwide, BroadwayWorld is very excited to announce the 2015 New Jersey Awards winners. Highlights include Kelly Briggs who won 'Best Cabaret or Musical Performance', Laura Osnes who won 'Best Actress', David Van Pelt as 'Best Actor' and more!  Thanks to all who voted, and huge congratulations to all the winners!

On Monday, January 4, the Theater People podcast welcomes HAMILTON star Renee Elise Goldsberry. In the episode, Goldsberry talks about why she turned down her audition for the show several times, learning her showstopping number 'Satisfied,' and how it feels to be a part of the phenomenon that is HAMILTON.

Two years ago, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, Frederick's only year-round producing regional theatre, celebrated its 20th anniversary season and opened with a beloved classic, The Sound of Music. To launch Way Off Broadway's new expanded six-show 2016 Season, the theatre will open with another classic, Anything Goes. The Cole Porter musical will kick off the season on Friday evening, January 15th.

On Tuesday, December 15, the Theater People Podcast welcome's Tony-nominee Norm Lewis, whose career on and off Broadway, in London's West End, and on the international concert circuit, spans nearly 25 years, and counting. He will be making his Feinstein's/54 Below debut with a holiday show running from December 20th to 24th at 9:30pm.

Following a critically acclaimed, hit world premiere engagement at Paper Mill Playhouse this fall, the new musical The Bandstand will open on Broadway in the 2016 - 2017 season starring Tony Award® nominee Laura Osnes (Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella) and Corey Cott (Newsies). Just last month, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars. The cast included vocalists Jane Monheit, Loren Allred, Whitney Bashor, and Addi McDaniel and Michael Deleget. Check out highlights from the concert below.

THE WIZ LIVE! rocked NBC last night will over 11 million viewers and celebrities were among the biggest fans of the night. Last year, the Twittersphere exploded with tens of thousands of viewer responses to NBC's Peter Pan Live! and this year the tweets didn't slow down!

NBC's upcoming holiday production of THE WIZ LIVE! will air TONIGHT at 8pm EST!  The production will star newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy alongside Grammy and Golden Globe-winner Queen Latifah as the Wizard, nine-time Grammy-winner Mary J.
