Happy Birthday Deborah Voigt! On the heels of a sell-out for 'Deborah Voigt: Voight Lessons', this past weekend at The Art House in Provincetown, MA, we want to celebrate 'Debbie's' birthday, where we found out, on this day, that she's teaching at Glimmerglass. 'Mark Cortale Presents' has his Broadway Series at The Art House in Provincetown for the 2015 Summer Season, where the show was standing room only.

The Art House in Provincetown, MA, headed by Mark Cortale, will present Metropolitan Opera Star Deborah Voigt in "Voigt Lessons" created by Terrence McNally, Francesca Zambello and Deborah Voigt, for one night only on August 2 at 6:30 PM. Music Direction is by Kevin Stites, and the production is Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. "Voigt Lessons" was originally created by the Glimmerglass Opera in 2011. This performance will mark Ms. Voigt's Provincetown debut as part of the critically acclaimed Broadway @ The Art House concert series. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PS Classics recorded the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of On the Twentieth Century on Monday, March 23, 2015. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Roundabout Theatre Company is canceling its June 7th matinee of On the Twentieth Century to accommodate star Kristin Chenoweth's co-hosting gig with Alan Cumming for the 2015 TONY AWARDS and the cast's performance that evening. Chenoweth will also be absent from the 8 p.m. show on June 6th.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY star Kristin Chenoweth will be out again for Sunday's matinee. The star missed performances on Friday and on Saturday due to illness. Chenoweth's understudy is Mamie Parris. No word yet on when she'll be back in the show- stay tuned!
