Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) is pleased to announce initial casting for the world premiere production of Katori Hall's HURT VILLAGE, directed by Patricia McGregor.

Due to popular demand, The New Group has announced a two-week extension for Russian Transport, which began previews on January 17 and had an Official Opening Night on January 30.

Second Stage Theatre's current season will continue with a new production of Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, How I Learned To Drive, directed by Kate Whoriskey and starring Norbert Leo Butz and Elizabeth Reaser. Columbia University School of the Arts will present LULU. Described as 'funny, frightening and provocative,' LULU is the tale of a young woman's attempt to survive under the glare of the male gaze. The play was banned by the censors in 1892. From controversial playwright Frank Wedekind, author of Spring Awakening, this rarely-performed play gets a new production for the 21st century.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) will conclude its 33rd season with the World Premiere of the new musical, DOGFIGHT, featuring music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, a book by Peter Duchan and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. Winner of the prestigious 2011 Richards Rodgers Award for Musical Theatre, DOGFIGHT will be performed at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street) this summer. The Yale Institute For Music Theater (Mark Brokaw, Artistic Director) will select up to three original music theatre works to be developed in an intensive lab setting in New Haven June 4-17, 2012. Submissions will be accepted December 15, 2011, through February 1, 2012.
