Ali Stroker is the first person in a wheelchair ever to star on Broadway in the current revival of SPRING AWAKENING.  TODAY anchor Willie Geist sat down with Stroker and her father as they share her inspiring story.

On Wednesday, November 18, the cast of Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed Broadway production of Spring Awakening, along with writers Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik and director Michael Arden, will travel to Washington, D.C. to perform at the White House as part of a convening on Americans with disabilities and the arts, a celebration of diversity and inclusion.

The cast album for the new Off-Broadway musical DADDY LONG LEGS, with music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility) and a book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables), is available today in the U.S. via digital release from Ghostlight Records.

KINKY BOOTS, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for KINKY BOOTS), launches the second year of its first national tour tonight, November 10, in Austin, TX at Bass Concert Hall. 

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Adam Halpin (Broadway's GLORY DAYS, RENT Natl. Tour) will star in the new musical Daddy Long Legs, alongside his wife Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, SIDE SHOW, LITTLE WOMEN). Halpin, recently seen in another two-person musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Long Wharf Theatre, will assume the role on November 20th.

Sometimes success breeds problems. This is the case with KINKY BOOTS, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical that began a highly acclaimed and popular Canadian production on June 16, 2015 at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre. KINKY BOOTS will now extend performances through March 6, 2016.

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Album of the hit, headline-making Off-Broadway musical Clinton The Musical on Friday, October 30; with international digital release and physical CDs in stores and online Friday, November 20. The production has book, music and lyrics by Paul Hodge, book by Paul Hodge and Michael Hodge, and was directed and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Dan Knechtges with musical direction by James Dobinson and orchestrations by Neil Douglas Reilly. Kurs, producers of Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, were honored this morning by The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and Commissioner Victor Calise at the NDEAM (National Disability Employment Awareness Month) Awards, where they received the Champion of Change Award.
