In a feature out in the Washington Post today, musical legend Jerry Herman reveals that a Broadway revival of his classic, Hello, Dolly! is on the way. According to the report, 'A revival of 'Hello, Dolly!' will hit Broadway in the near future, says Herman, who plans to be the production's guiding spirit.'

With the anticipation of the holiday season steadily approaching, ABC Family launches the thirteenth year of its must see '25 Days of Christmas' event featuring over 200 hours of holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family from December 1-25 - the biggest cable programming event of the year. Viewers will celebrate the season with an all-new original movie, specials and, of course, the return of Christmas favorites during primetime as well as a full week of all day holiday programming from Saturday, December 18 - Saturday, December 25.

Sales of Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 12 have been so brisk in New York theaters that it has been difficult keeping up with the demand.

The Best of Broadway concerts will feature a buffet of favorites from musicals Fiddler on the Roof, Jekyll & Hyde, La Cage Aux Folles and others.

On Monday, November 22, Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer of Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) received the John Houseman Award for his work at Lincoln Center and as Joseph Papp's Associate Producer of The New York Shakespeare Festival (NYSF) at The Acting Company's Masquerade Gala. Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), was also honored with the Joan Warburg Humanitarian Award for his leadership and advocacy in the fight against AIDS. Kelsey Grammer and Patti LuPone entertained as Angela Lansbury, Marian Seldes, Elizabeth Wilson, Campbell Scott, Dana Ivey, Shubert's Philip Smith and Robert Wankel, Jujamcyn's Paul Libin, Equity's Nick Wyman, The Actors Fund's Joe Benecasa and The Broadway League's Charlotte St. Martin and more joined the salute. According to Deadline.com, Starz has picked up the political drama Boss for eight episodes. The show will star La Cage's Kelsey Grammer and will be written by Farhad Safinia. Gus Van Sant will act as executive producer, as well as the director for the series' pilot episode.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) will honor producers Barry and Fran Weissler (Chicago, Wonderful Town, La Cage Aux Folles, Scottsboro Boys) and the winners of the NYMF 2010 Awards for Excellence at the Seventh Season Awards Gala taking place on Sunday, November 14th at The Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44th Street) beginning at 6:00pm.

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that none other than Mike Myers (yes, Austin Powers) may step into Kelsey Grammer's role of Georges alongside Harvey Fierstein in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES after Grammer and Douglas Hodge depart the show in February. Writes Riedel: Hodge's co-star, the excellent Kelsey Grammer, is likely to leave the show in February as well, so the hunt is on for a new Georges...Mike Myers is said to be in the mix.'

Four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein is returning to Broadway, starring as Albin in the 2010 Tony Award-winning revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Fierstein won the 1984 Tony Award for writing LA CAGE, but this will be his first time appearing in the show. He will debut on Tuesday, February 15 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) for a limited run of 12 weeks only. Fierstein's co-star will be announced soon.

Yesterday, Pussy Cat Doll and Hollywood Bowl Rent star Nicole Scherzinger took in a performance of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES on Broadway. BroadwayWorld was exclusively invited backstage following the performance to snap Nicole with le Cagelles.

In-studio and production drawings from the upcoming 'Dorothy of Oz' animated film have been released by Summertime Entertainment! In the film, the title and beloved role of Dorothy Gale will be played by Golden-Globe nominated actress Lea Michele, star of television's hit series GLEE. Also known for her acclaimed Broadway roles in Spring Awakening and Les Misérables, Lea makes her feature film and animation voice-over debut with 'Oz' and will also be providing vocals on several original musical numbers.
