Two randomly selected panels-one for television and one for film-each comprised of 2,100 Guild members from across the United States, chose this year's Actor and stunt honors nominees. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official teller mailed the nominations secret ballots were mailed on November 26. Voting was completed by noon Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.

'Milk' and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' were both nominated for eight Critics Choice Awards. Both were among the 10 films nominated for best picture. 'Milk,' was also nominated for lead actor Sean Penn, supporting co-stars James Franco and James Brolin and director Gus Van Sant. 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' which opens Christmas Day, has Brad Pitt nominated for best actor, supporting nominations for Cate Blanchett and Taraji P. Henson.

The films 'Doubt' and 'Frost/Nixon' have been nominated for Critics Choice Awards, placing them in competition with 'The Reader,' 'Milk' and 'Slumdog Millionaire' for Best Picture.
