Disney's THE LION KING returns to San Francisco for the first time since its triumphant 43 week run at the SHN Orpheum Theatre in 2004. THE LION KING will play an 11 week engagement at the SHN Orpheum Theatre beginning tonight, November 1 through January 13, 2013.

According to The New York Times' ArtsBeat blog, a settlement has still not been signed between the producers of Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark and former director Julie Taymor.

TexARTS will welcome Broadway performer and choreographer Greg Graham and his "BILLY ELLIOT" masterclass, Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The Unicorn Theatre's Christmas show, The Prince and The Pauper is a lively adaptation by Jemma Kennedy of Mark Twain's classic story of confused identities. Set in a Tudor London, a young street urchin Tom Canty has a chance meeting with the heir to the throne, Prince Edward VI and by pure coincidence they find they look almost identical.

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, the record-breaking Broadway spectacular, held a Halloween safety press conference earlier today at the Foxwoods Theatre. Hosted by Spider-Man (Reeve Carney) and the Green Goblin (Robert Cuccioli), also in attendance were members of the "Sinister Six" and two members of New York's Finest. Spider-Man outlined the NYPD's official Halloween Safety Recommendations to remind parents and guardians of trick-or-treaters ways to help ensure a safe Halloween experience. At a launch event for the Irish premiere season of THE LION KING, held today in Dublin, Disney Theatrical Group President and Producer Thomas Schumacher gave those in attendance an exclusive look at Disney's award-winning musical, and explained how the legendary production was created.

According to the New York Times, playwritght Glen Berger, who recently worked alongside Julie Taymor, Bono and the Edge on Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, will write a book on the whole saga, titled "Song of Spider-Man: The Inside Story of the Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History."

The touring production of THE LION KING will play Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 29th June 2013 as part of its first-ever UK tour. The legendary musical will visit Birmingham for a three-month season, giving audiences the opportunity to experience the global phenomenon in their local theatre.

On October 14, the cast of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark made an appearance at the 2012 New York Comic Con. Whilethey were there they performed "Boy Fall from the Sky", followed by an interactive presentation and demo by the Spider-Men for kids in the audience. Check out phtos from the evnt below!

Tonight, October 15th at 9:30pm CAROL WOODS moonlights from the Broadway musical Chicago to appear in concert in Broadway to Blues at 54 Below, 254 West 54th Street. Directed by Leslie Dockery, Broadway to Blues features Shelton Becton on piano and as musical director.

The track list for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - Part 2's original motion picture soundtrack list has now been revealed. Included on the soundtrack will be the song 'News For You' by SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK star Reeve Carney.

Disney's THE LION KING will make its South American premiere in São Paulo, Brazil. T4F (Time For Fun), will present the production with its opening night on March 7th, 2013 at the Teatro Abril. THE LION KING in São Paulo will mark two firsts: as the largest stage musical ever presented in Brazil and the first time the show has been performed in Portuguese. When the South American production opens, it will mark the sixth continent in which THE LION KING will have played and will become the 21st production, worldwide.
