The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, are pleased to announce the seventh round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.

On Monday, October 15, 2012, Olivier Award nominee and celebrated star of Broadway's smash hit musical Chicago Carol Woods will debut her newest solo concert act, 'From Blues to Broadway,' at 54 Below.

Disney's THE LION KING continues to reign across North America with a sold-out, record-breaking engagement in Wichita, which concluded on Sunday, September 30 at the Century II Concert Hall. The premiere four-week engagement grossed over $4.3 million at the box office and entertained more than 60,000 patrons, making it the highest-grossing theatrical production in Wichita history.

This summer, David Parsons was awarded a Master of Fine Arts from Jacksonville University. Mr. Parsons was the first recipient of the Howard Gilman Fellowship to attend the MFA program at the university. This full tuition fellowship is given to one MFA candidate each year. One of the missions of the Howard Gilman Foundation at White Oak is to nurture the artist in development. On October 15th at 9:30pm CAROL WOODS moonlights from the Broadway musical Chicago to appear in concert in Broadway to Blues at 54 Below, 254 West 54th Street. Directed by Leslie Dockery, Broadway to Blues features Shelton Becton on piano and as musical director.

Pioneer Theatre Company opens their 2012-2013 season on Friday with the Regional Premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights. The production runs from September 14 through September 29, 2012, at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre in Salt Lake City Utah.
