Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway In Detroit announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING, playing a limited four-week engagement at the Detroit Opera House, February 13 - March 10, 2013, will go on sale to the public on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Fisher Theatre box office, the Detroit Opera House box office, all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at 1-866-870-2717, and online at www.ticketmaster.com, www.lionking.com or www.broadwayindetroit.com. Tickets start at $25. Additionally, Premium Ticket Packages, which include a prime seat location, a commemorative souvenir program, and parking, are also available. Broadway's landmark musical event The Lion King celebrated its 15th Anniversary Sunday evening with a one-night only celebratory performance benefitting The Actors Fund. SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has just unveiled a 2013-2014 calendar featuring the talented, athletic men who bring the world's most recognizable super hero to life on Broadway each night with breath-taking aerial stunts and acrobatics. The 14-month calendar made its debut during a segment featuring Reeve Carney ("Peter Parker") and the performers on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning, November 15 at 8:30 am EST. Pittsburgh CLO is one of the few regional theaters selected by Disney to produce The Little Mermaid. From the depths of the sea to the shores of America, this rockin' season will also feature Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, a toe-tapping trip to the heart of 1950s rock and roll with the man, the music and the legend. This year, through special arrangement with The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Pittsburgh CLO Season Ticket Buyers will enjoy priority seating to Disney's The Lion King, part of the PNC Broadway Across America series. In addition to these spectacular headliners, CLO's 2013 season will also feature dynamic new productions of 42nd Street, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Kopit & Yeston's Phantom.

San Francisco's Orpheum Theatre plays host to Disney's 'The Lion King' now through January 13, 2013. I put that out there right away because if you're one for keeping a bucket list of must-see things to do and see before you 'exit stage left' then this show is surely one for the list.

Obie-award winning stage, TV and film actor, and accomplished director, Ching Valdes-Aran, presents a solo exhibition of her paintings for the first time in the United States. Entitled CHING VALDES-ARAN: NEW AND SELECTED WORK, the exhibition will be on view at the Philippine Center Gallery in New York City from October 22 through November 2nd, 2012. The Philippine Center Gallery is located at 556 Fifth Avenue, between West 45th and 46th Streets. An artist's reception will take place on Monday October 22 from 6 to 9 pm.
