Frank Hamilton, co-founder of the Old Town School of Folk Music and Bill Rappaport, former 2nd chair clarinetist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra put together a night of swing/jazz tunes from the Great American Songbook. Classic tunes from the likes of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Johnny Mercer, and Jerome Kern take on a jazzy style with Frank playing acoustic guitar and Bill playing clarinet.

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to welcome SONGBIRD, written by Michael Kimmel, with music & lyrics by Lauren Pritchard, and directed by JV Mercanti. Produced by Allison Bressi and Diana Buckhantz by special association with Less Than Rent Theatre for the 5A Season, SONGBIRD begins performances on Tuesday, October 20 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 29. Opening Night is Wednesday, October 28 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7 PM; Friday at 8 PM; Saturday at 2 PM & 8 PM; and Sunday at 3 PM.
