Tails wagged at Feinstein's/54 Below as New York's favorite baker, Amy's Bread unveiled a new offering in it's popular Chef Sandwiches for Good charity program. Michael Feinstein joined Nick Ziobro, the 17 year-old pop/jazz vocal sensation, as a special guest for his CD release concert at Birdland Jazz Club (315 West 44th Street in Manhattan) last night, May 22 at 6:00 PM. The CD's all-star band - led by Tedd Firth and featuring music Jay Leonhart on bass, Ray Marchica on drums, Brian Pareschi on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Marc Phaneuf on saxophone and clarinet - also joined the concert. Nick's debut album A Lot of Livin' to Do is produced by Michael Feinstein, the two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy Award-nominated vocalist, pianist and musicologist. Peggy Herman released a brand new recording of "Herman on Herman," her tribute to Broadway legend Jerry Herman, at Feinstein's at the Loews Regency, on Sunday May 6. The one-night-only concert featured many of the songs from the show's premiere in May of last year, plus additional material that was added to the project in the intervening months. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY continues its Spring 2012 season with the return engagement of Grammy Award nominated singer and entertainer MARILYN MAYE. Her new show - "The Happiest Sound In Town" - is her annual birthday celebration and features some of her most-requested numbers including "Guess Who I Saw Today," "Bye Bye Country Boy," "Rain" and "Golden Rainbow." Another highlight of the show, "Come In From The Rain," was a personal favorite of Johnny Carson; Maye performed it many times on "The Tonight Show" at his personal invitation.
