SBCC Theatre Arts Department will present Moliere's comedy, TARTUFFE, in a new adaptation by Constance Congdon as the spring Student Showcase production in the Interim Theatre on SBCC's West Campus.

Celebrated American playwright John Guare will be returning to Florida Stage as the guest speaker at Lee Wolf's Backstage at Theatre Club. The intimate, thought-provoking interview will be conducted by Ms. Wolf, noted literary enthusiast and long-time Florida stage supporter. Mr. Guare last visited Florida Stage in 2007 to present the Keynote Address for the company's inaugural 1st Stage New Works Festival. His appearance for Backstage at Theatre Club will be on February 18, 2011 from 12-3pm at the Phillips Point Club on Flagler Road in West Palm Beach. Lunch is included. The Old Vic announced that applications for The 2011 TS Eliot US/UK Exchange will open on Friday 28th January.

Rising Phoenix Repertory announces the FIFTH PLAY IN THE CINO NIGHTS SERIES- THE STRAY DOG, a new play by Kristen Palmer / directed by Julie Kline featuring Stephen Brown, Brian Miskell, Laura Ramadei, Jelena Stupljanin, Haynes Thigpen, and David Townsend

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) presents the World Premiere of A SMALL FIRE, a new play by Obie Award winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City at PH, The Receptionist, The Thugs, Swimming in the Shallows). Directed by Trip Cullman (Adam Bock's The Drunken City at PH and Swimming in the Shallows, plus Bachelorette, Some Men, The Last Sunday in June, the recent Edgewise, Adam Rapp's upcoming The Hallway Trilogy) the production will close Sunday, January 23 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

The Flea Theater will present the World Premiere of #serials@theflea, a raucous late night play competition featuring The Bats and some of NYC's hottest young playwrights.

Today the American Repertory Theater announced that Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of the Public Theater in New York, will be the recipient of the A.R.T.'s 2011 Robert Brustein Award.

William Atherton, Matt Cavenaugh, Lisa O'Hare, Carol Lawrence, Millicent Martin and Jason Graae are the acclaimed film, Broadway and West End stars who will lead the cast of Reprise Theatre Company's second production of the 2010-2011 season, 'Gigi', playing February 15 to February 27, 2011 (press opening February 16, 2011) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. The musical - with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe -- will be directed by veteran musical theatre director David Lee, with choreography by Peggy Hickey and musical direction by Steve Orich.

Lincoln Center Theater production of Jon Robin Baitz' OTHER DESERT CITIES, directed by Joe Mantello plays the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 W. 65 Street.). The cast features Stockard Channing, Stacy Keach, Linda Lavin, Elizabeth Marvel and Thomas Sadoski.
