The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has announced Katori Hall as the winner of its prestigious playwriting award, now celebrating its thirty-third year. The Houston-based Prize received the 2010 Theatre Communications Group's National Funder Award. THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, directed by David Cromer, will open on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street). MacGilvray have announced that casting is complete for the upcoming Broadway production of Born Yesterday, a comedy by Garson Kanin, directed by Doug Hughes. The production stars Jim Belushi, Robert Sean Leonard, and Nina Arianda and will play Broadway's Cort Theatre, 138 West 48th Street, beginning previews Thursday, March 31, and opening Sunday, April 24.

Deadline.com reports that Katie Finneran has joined the cast of I Hate My Teenage Daughter for the new Fox comedy, I Hate My Teenage Daughter. Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer have written and will produce the pilot. According to the report, I Hate My Teenage Daughter 'centers on two women, Annie and Nikki (Finneran), who now have daughters just like the girls who picked on them in high school.'

The Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) (1220 Fifth Avenue), in its forthcoming exhibition Joel Grey / A New York Life, examines the enduring impact that legendary actor Joel Grey and his adopted city have made on each other. Through rare artifacts from his stage and screen career, objects from his personal collection, and his own photography, MCNY offers a unique look at New York through Grey's eyes as well as a visual retrospective of his career. The exhibition's opening night reception will take place on the evening of Monday, April 11, which is also Grey's 79th birthday. It will open to the public the following day, and remain on display through Monday, August 8.
