Stoopid Daddy Records will present An Evening of Swing, Stride and Boogie Woogie Piano tonight, October 19, 2012, 9 PM in association with the 12 Grapes Restaurant, 12 North Division St., Peekskill NY. The talents of 5 New York-based pianists will be featured: Dave Keyes, Jon Cobert, Scott Staton, Loren Korevec and Chase Garrett. Also featured will be 5 guest vocalists: The Blues Buddha, Duchess Di, Curtis Winchester, Susan McMahon and a rare NY performance by Denny Leroux.

Acclaimed international concert and cabaret artist Anna Bergman returns to Feinstein's at Loews Regency (540 Park Avenue @ 61st Street) tonight, October 15 and October 21, 22, 28 & 29 (8:00pm) with her show "You & the Night & the Music: An Evening of Musical Imports & Exports". This showfeatures her musical director and arranger Alex Rybeck, Jered Egan on bass and is directed by Jeff Harnar.

After sell-out seasons across an 18 month Australia wide tour, a triumphant tour of New Zealand and a Helpmann Award for Best Contemporary Australian Concert, The Man in Black is returning to Her Majesty's Theatre in Adelaide for a limited six performance season from tonight, 11 - 15 September. Bookings are now open through BASS outlets.

I once asked a friend of mine what it was like seeing a certain legendary performer in concert. Her reply was, "It was a privilege." Well, if you ask me today what it was like seeing the Oak Ridge Boys at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas this weekend, my reply would be the same. It was indeed a privilege.
AVENUE Q Opens Tonight at Theatre Aspen

Theatre Aspen begins its 29th summer season with the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Avenue Q tonight, in the new Hurst Theatre, situated along the Rio Grande River. The theatre is unveiling a new lobby facility to complement the Hurst Theatre, which was erected last summer. Next up is the musical How I Became a Pirate, based on the beloved children's book by Melinda Long (July 10th - Aug 18th) and the film noir thriller The 39 Steps (July 25th - Aug 18th).
