After a successful first season of Alhambra After Dark concerts and tribute acts in 2015, The Alhambra Theatre & Dining is launching its 2016 Alhambra After Dark music series with a more diverse slate and promising more shows (along with some of those that proved popular last year). In 2014 The Alhambra launched a branded series of non-theatrical programs called Alhambra After Dark so it could offer slightly more diverse fare from its traditional show schedule. Alhambra After Dark (AAD) has ranged from concerts to comedians and trivia nights to one-person shows, but it has set its biggest footprint to date on the nationally-burgeoning genre of musical tribute acts.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre to Present CHARLEY'S AUNT
by Tyler Peterson
- Jan 6, 2016
Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, will kick off the New Year with a play that's sure to be the cure for the post-holiday doldrums. The hilarious comedy, Charley's Aunt, will take the stage January 7th through the 24th, 2016 at the Theatre's home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA. GET and Atlanta favorite David Crowe is in the directing chair to bring this time-tested comedy by Brandon Thomas to life. Says Crowe, 'At its heart Charley's Aunt is a very silly play about the very serious business of courtship. That's one of the reasons the play has been produced so much in the past hundred or so years. Falling in love sometimes requires us to bend and even break society's rules in order to live happily ever after.' This production is graciously sponsored by the Robert W. Hagan Family Foundation.

BWW CD Review: Telly Leung's SONGS FOR YOU Uplifts Listeners
by David Clarke
- Nov 22, 2015
For Telly Leung's sophomore album, SONGS FOR YOU, the acclaimed Broadway performer decided to make an album where each song is dedicated to the important people in his life. According to the liner notes that is where each of the classic tunes that compose the track listing found their breath of life, allowing Leung to "focus on the sentiment and energy of the song." Thus, audiences are presented with an album that almost sounds like a cabaret act, except it's clearly recorded in a studio.
