ABC Family enters into the world of music with its first movie musical featuring an incredibly talented cast, including Jane Seymour, Chelsea Kane, Sara Paxton, Alexander John, Drew Seeley, Adrienne Bailon and Tom Wopat. The two-hour original movie, 'Elixir' (working title), also features a stellar creative team in producer Debra Martin Chase and Terry Rossio, writers Terry Rossio & Jaylynn Bailey, choreographer Michael Rooney and director Sanaa Hamri. The movie will feature unforgettable covers as well as several original songs and show-stopping dance numbers. Principal shooting is scheduled to start September 26 in Pittsburgh, PA. This original movie is slated to premiere on ABC Family in 2012.

Diversionary Theatre and MOXIE Theatre will celebrate the kick off of both of their 2011/2012 seasons with the U.S. Premiere of Canadian playwright Michele Riml's new play Poster Boys from July 7 - July 31, 2011 at Diversionary Theatre.

Gustavo Dudamel will lead the combined forces of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela - joined by the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Children's Chorus and community choruses - in a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 8, known as the 'Symphony of a Thousand,' at the historic Shrine Auditorium for a spectacular performance with over 1000 musicians and singers. American Museum of Natural History, located at Central Park West at 79th Street will exhibit Body and Spirit: Tibetan Medical Paintings, an exhibition of 64 Tibetan medical paintings (also known as tangkas) from the American Museum of Natural History's collection, opens Tuesday, January 25, in the Museum's fourth-floor Audubon Gallery, and will run through July 17, 2011.
