La Jolla Playhouse announces the sixth and final production in its 2011/12 season: a new adaptation of Sleeping Beauty Wakes, book by Rachel Sheinkin (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), with a score by composer Brendan Milburn and lyricist Valerie Vigoda, both of the acclaimed trio GrooveLily (Striking 12, Long Story Short), directed by Rebecca Taichman, who will also direct the Playhouse's 2011/12 world premiere of Milk Like Sugar.

Host Andy Cohen joined honorary chairs Hugh Dancy, Claire Daines, David Duchovny and Téa Leoni for MCC's annual MISCAST Gala. This one-night-only musical spectacular featured Broadway's hottest stars performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast. The Stella Adler Studio of Acting announced today that Lemon Anderson will perform his show, County of Kings, at the studio for students of Adler's Outreach Division.

'Not very Christlike!' responds TV talk show hostess Jenny (Tracy Chimo) in Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon now receiving its West coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse through March 6. LaBute is known for his abrasive, edgy, in-your-face material that is simultaneously irreverent and thought provoking. This West coast production under Jo Bonney's fine direction will have people facebooking and twittering

Broadway veteran Kevin Anderson leads the cast in the Los Angeles run of world premiere production of Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon. The Break of Noon, which is a co-production with MCC in New York, will feature Catherine Dent as well as Tracee Chimo and John Earl Jelks, who performed their roles in the New York portion of the run. Helmed by director Jo Bonney, The Break of Noon begins in previews on January 25, 2011 and officially opens February 2, 2011.
