Arriving on Broadway six years after La, La, Lucille, followed-up by Yes, Yes, Yvette and inspiring Betty Comden and Adolph Green to imagine a musical named If, If, Iphigenia, No, No, Nanette is the kind of delectably frothy musical comedy confection you might not naturally associate with being the stuff of legends. And yet, quite a bit about this high-spirited romp, now getting a lovingly stylish concert reading from Encores!, has achieved legendary status.

The New York Times presented a starry line up of guests for the Eighth Annual Arts & Leisure Weekend, Jan. 8 to 11. The Times's signature event is a four-day international celebration of the arts with a wide range of activities, from interviews between Times journalists and celebrated guests from the arts, film, music, media and politics, to special offers at cultural institutions around the world. All TimesTalk events are held at TheTimesCenter, 242 West 41st Street. BWW was there as the HAIR family met the press.

Tony Award-nominee Gavin Creel will join the Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, in the leading role of 'Claude', it was announced today by Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater. In a statement, Mr. Eustis said 'We are thrilled that Gavin Creel will be joining the tribe of HAIR as Claude.

Just named one of The Brooklyn Papers' 90 to watch in 09, The Gallery Players will be dancing the Charleston into 2009 with the zany 1920's musical that won the 2002 Tony Award for Best Musical - January 31-February 22, 2009.

Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and 'American Idol' finalist Diana DeGarmo (Hairspray) will star in the new Broadway production of GODSPELL. The first Broadway revival of the landmark rock musical will officially open on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street) on Thursday, October 23, 2008. Previews will begin on Monday, September 29, 2008.
