Rock Musical MYTH Comes to The Other Palace

Rock musical Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus, directed by Arlene Phillips and written by Sam Cassidy, will have 9 concert-style workshop performances at The Other Palace from Saturday 10 - Saturday 17 March 2018. The production will be semi-staged and performed by a live 6-piece band.

On New Year's Eve 1969, Jimi Hendrix's electronic blues trio, Band of Gypsys, played at New York City's Fillmore East Auditorium. Taking this legendarily funky concert as inspiration, CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) presents the West Coast premiere of The Hendrix Project at Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Off Center Festival. Performances take place on February 1, 2 and 3 at 8 pm. In the Center's Samueli Theater. Click here for reservations.

'We're gonna keep it up upbeat. Right, kids?' Finding light in the darkness was a dominant, if not the dominant, theme in 2017, so in closing out the year with SANDEMONIUM, it tracks that Sandra Bernhard would work it into her New Year's show---in her own distinctly Sandyland way, as her patented snark is a feature, not a flaw---and the crowd during her December 29 performance at Joe's Pub seemed just fine with that.

Auditorium Theatre Launches Evening Tours

The Auditorium Theatre announces new evening tours on Tuesdays at 5:30PM, where visitors will have the chance to learn the theatre's history while enjoying an after-work drink. The theatre also offers three tours in the daytime on Mondays and Thursdays.
