On Monday, October 17, 2011, The New 42nd Street Gala, 'Puppet Palooza,' honored Cheryl Henson, President of The Jim Henson Foundation with the second annual New Victory Arts Award. The annual event, which celebrates The New Victory Education Program, began with a performance honoring Henson at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street. Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q) hosted the evening featuring Joey Arias in a performance directed by Basil Twist; from 'Sesame Street' Big Bird and Telly Monster; cast members from Cummins and Scoullar's The Little Prince; Heather Henson and IBEX Puppetry; Tony Award winner Bill Irwin; Ralph Lee's Mettawee River Theatre Company; dancer/choreographer David Neumann; On the Lam Street Band; and the Reduced Shakespeare Company.

In this comedic version of the classic Washington Irving tale, schoolteacher Ichabod Crane helps the Headless Horseman find a new head and a spookier image. Meanwhile, a jealous Brom Bones tries to run Ichabod out of town as they both vie for the affection of Katrina Van Tassel. In the end the Horseman saves the day and everyone is 'happy ever after!' This family-friendly Halloween show is the perfect silly show for children of all ages.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County presents the Miami premiere of STUFFED AND UNSTRUNG, a madcap comedy show, for adults only, featuring a motley crew of Henson puppets (the Miskreant Puppets) sharing the stage with improv comedians. A creation of Henson Alternative, the one-of-a-kind live stage comedy is the brainchild of Academy Award-winning puppeteer, director, producer, and writer Brian Henson and actor and improvisational master Patrick Bristow. War, Muslim Relations, Xenophobia and the struggles of disenfranchised youth are among the contemporary themes highlighted in Les Enfants de Paris, a world premiere musical premiering October 3rd as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Donna Drake directs a cast of seven including, Adam Halpin (Glory Days), Nadine Malouf , Sevan Greene (Aftermath, Betrayed), Megan Reinking (Million Dollar Quartet, Hair, Boardwalk Empire), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q), Dan Kohler (Blue Man Group), and Blake Segal. Seven performances will be held at the TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor, NYC 10018 beginning October 3, 2011.
