Viola Davisand Julius Tennon's JuVee Productions' has signed a first look feature production deal with Amazon Studios, according to Variety. 

Jim Gaffigan is back on Comedy Central today, November 23 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT in the network debut of Jim Gaffigan: Noble Ape, a special 90 minute event.

Prolific stand-up comedian, Tom Papa, is coming to Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, CO for one night only on Friday, February 15th. Show times are 7:00pm and 9:00pm.  Tickets are $32.00 and go on sale on Friday, November 16th.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 92-year-old Palace Theatre has received a full facelift of its 2,691-seat auditorium. The first major renovation for the Palace since 1984, the six-month, main-hall makeover included the repair of damaged plaster, new paint in a new color scheme, all-new seats on the main floor, full refurbishment of balcony seats, and installation of a new LED house lighting system in the dome and main chandelier. The first public performance in the fully renovated auditorium will be Grammy-nominated comedian Jim Gaffigan on Friday, November 2.

On October 25th, Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) and Ma-Yi Theater Company presented an excerpt from Lloyd Suh's new play The Chinese Lady, which begins performances on Theatre Row on November 7 and will play a limited run through November 18, 2018. On Tuesday, October 30, Teens for Food Justice (TFFJ) will hold its annual gala, "Feast 2018 with Chef David Laris," an immersive dinner theatre experience honoring international superstars Emilio and Gloria Estefan, model and actress Karolina Kurkova and her husband Archie Drury at Tribeca Rooftop. The event will support TFFJ's mission to galvanize a youth-led movement to eradicate food insecurity in one generation.

Comedy Central Records announced today that Langston Kerman's debut album, Lightskinned Feelings, will be released on Friday, September 28, the same day Kerman is featured in the Season 2 premiere episode of Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents… at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

La Jolla Playhouse has announced that Jeanna de Waal will portray the title role in its upcoming world-premiere musical Diana, by the Tony Award-winning Memphis team of Joe DiPietro (book and lyrics) and David Bryan (music and lyrics), directed by Playhouse Artistic Director and 2017 Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley and choreographed by Tony nomineeKelly Devine. The production will run February 19 - March 31, 2019 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre. The complete cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.
