On Monday, May 2, 2016, The New York Pops marks its 33rd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the revolutionary collaborations of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, the songwriting team behind Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, and more. Serving as Honorary Co-Chairs for the event are musical theatre legends Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Patti LuPone.

Two of television's hottest series are joining the diverse lineup of events at this year's PaleyFest LA, the William S. Paley Television Festival celebrating TV's most acclaimed series.

On this week's episode of SUPERGIRL, Kara helps Hank Henshaw (or J'onn J'onzz or the Martian Manhunter or whatever you want to call him) confront the White Martian and helps Cat Grant confront the son she gave away. The number of heartbreaking moments in this episode was impressive; SUPERGIRL is definitely becoming deeper with every episode.

Due to a scheduling issue, vocalist Jeremy Jordan will be unable to perform with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) as part of On Broadway on March 29 and 30, 2016, as previously announced. The TSO is pleased to announce that Darren Criss-well known for his role on the popular TV series, Glee-will be stepping in for Mr. Jordan.

On Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will continue its 33rd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with 42nd on 57th: Broadway Today. With guest artists Darren Criss (Glee) and Betsy Wolfe (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), the concert brings the best of Broadway uptown. The program will feature a variety of musical theatre hits. Darren Criss replaces the previously announced Jeremy Jordan, who is unavailable due to a scheduling issue.

Additional series have been added to the slate for PaleyFest LA 2016, the William S. Paley Television Festival, celebrating television's most acclaimed series. CBS's The Big Bang Theory will take place on Wednesday, March 16 at 7:30 pm PT

Ariana Grande surprised the audience at Jason Robert Brown had a surprise guest at his concert last night - international superstar Ariana Grande, who made her Broadway debut in the composer's show 13 THE MUSICAL.

Now that 2015 is squarely in the rearview mirror, and everyone is back to work after the holidays, it is time to take a look at some of the best films of the past year. As was the case with my Top 15 TV Shows of 2015 list, this is not intended to be a comprehensive list. I am one man, and I have not yet seen every major movie released last year. However, as I continue to work through screeners and upcoming screenings (I live in Orlando, so not all of the awards-bait has been released here yet), I will count down the top 2015 releases that I saw during the calendar year. Notable omissions are BRIDGE OF SPIES, THE REVENANT, THE DANISH GIRL, and CONCUSSION, all of which I hope to see by the end of the week.

The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will present an evening full of holiday cheer at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with help from Tony award nominees Stephanie J. Block and Brian d'Arcy James, set to make the season bright with a program of holiday favorites tonight and tomorrow, December 18 and 19, 2015 at 8:00PM. The orchestra will also be joined by Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA.

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater announce the release of the Original Cast Recording of the new musical BE MORE CHILL, with physical CDs in stores and online today, December 18.
