Darren Criss to Step in for Jeremy Jordan at TSO's ON BROADWAY Concert
Due to a scheduling issue, vocalist Jeremy Jordan will be unable to perform with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) as part of On Broadway on March 29 and 30, 2016, as previously announced. The TSO is pleased to announce that Darren Criss-well known for his role on the popular TV series, Glee-will be stepping in for Mr. Jordan.
Under the baton of Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke, On Broadway is an irresistible panorama of Broadway showstoppers-classic melodies and recent hits alike, including excerpts from Phantom of the Opera, The Last Five Years, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, Les Miserables, Frozen, and much more.
Actor, musician, and Emmy-nominated composer Darren Criss, stars in the upcoming indie comedy, Smitten, directed by Academy Award winner Barry Morrow, and most recently appeared on Emmy award-winning FX series, American Horror Story. He starred on Broadway in the title role of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival and as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. He is best known for his breakout role as Blaine Anderson on Fox's Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series Glee.
