Inspired by the spirit of carnivals and circuses past, bebe stores, inc.'s Cirque du Chic summer collection takes a show-stopping turn with bold colors, dynamic silhouettes & hand-designed details. Supermodel, Irina Shayk, fronts the campaign which features two exclusive multi-hued prints, Roar and Rainforest, and a playful primary palette filled with reds, blues and bright whites. The line's key pieces include sweeping hi-lo dresses, little white dresses, midriff tops, midi skirts and evening wear finished with signature glamorous embellishments. Design highlights include asymmetric cuts, lace, embroidery, fringe and romantic layers of tulle and organza. Shoes with eye-catching accents from cage straps to ankle tassels to oversized buckles anchor the collection, with luxe gold tone statement necklaces, oversized hoop earrings, stackable bracelets and patent handbags adding the finishing touches.

Drybar has been growing rapidly and is slated to open up to 15 new stores, going from a $50 million company to a $70 company says The New York Times.  But along with new outposts, Drybar is debuting a new app that will bring the Drybar experience to you.  Looks like Glamsquad has some competition.

The Columbia Sportswear Company family of brands (Columbia,Mountain Hardwear, Sorel, prAna, Montrail), announced plans to support Nepalese earthquake relief efforts with a donation of $50,000 to several non-profit organizations including Mercy Corps, OXFAM and UNICEF.

This May, photography and fashion are in focus as Macy's celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with Nigel Barker. Barker will visit six Macy's stores across the country to discuss fashion, photography and his heritage. Of Sri Lankan descent, Barker has been internationally celebrated for his photography and creative presence in all areas of the fashion, beauty and entertainment industries.

DSW Inc., a leading branded footwear and accessories retailer, announced a new DSW to Shops at River Walk. The store will open on April 30, 2015.

WWD confirms that Gabriella Forte will take over as the CEO of David Yurman.  Forte, a longtime board member, is also a fashion industry veteran.  She began her career at Giorgio Armani, where she eventually rose to executive vice president, and worked at other luxury brands like Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.  

Victoria's Secret announced the debut of international Bombshells' Day. Held the first Saturday of May, the brand will be celebrating the first-ever holiday on May 2nd. To celebrate this holiday, women are encouraged to embrace their inner Bombshell and spoil themselves all day with their girlfriends. WWD reported that Stacey Bendet, chief executive officer and creative director of Alice + Olivia, has signed a three-year partnership with the CFDA to support the council's efforts to promote young fashion talent.

Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. announced plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at West Oaks shopping center in Novi, Mich. The approximately 33,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2016. The property is owned and managed by Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust.

Designer Eileen Fisher started her business with $350 in savings. Today, her eponymous company is giving back by inviting women-owned businesses to apply for its annual Women-Owned Business Grant Program. Now in its twelfth year, the program celebrates women at the helm of innovative companies that foster environmental and economic health in their communities. Up to ten grants totaling $100,000 will be awarded to prospective applicants. Recipients will also attend a three-day gathering in New York City, meeting with past beneficiaries and EILEEN FISHER teams in early 2016. Women entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply for the program by filling out the online application, which will be available beginning on April 15 th and continuing through May 31 st.

Kohl's Department Stores announced the limited edition, limited time MILLY for DesigNation collection is now available at Kohl's stores nationwide and Kohls.com. The capsule, inspired by designer Michelle Smith's trip to Capri, Italy, is the first to feature women's and girl's apparel. Smith's contemporary designs, showcasing the island's technicolor vistas, retail for under $100.
