9 Works Theatrical's production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, based on the 1973 French play by Jean Poiret, also the inspiration behind the film 'Birdcage,' will have a return engagement at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium (RCBC Plaza in Makati City) from August 15 to September 6 with TV star Steven Silva as Jean-Michel, the son of gay couple, Georges (Michael De Mesa) and Albin (Audie Gemora).

La Cage Aux Folles stormed the Broadway stage in 1983, grabbing nine Tony Award nominations and six wins, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book. Based on Jean Poiret's 1973 French play, La Cage Aux Folles was first brought to the big screen in 1978 and then the 1996 American film The Birdcage starring Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, and Gene Hackman. Ephrata Performing Arts Center will present this French-adapted classic at EPAC's Sharadan Bigler Theatre. The production opens on July 23, 2015, and runs through August 8, 2015.
