Composer Stephen Endelman has acquired the rights to the iconic 1970s ITV drama Upstairs Downstairs. The show, the precursor to DOWNTON ABBEY that aired for more than ten years, is being revived as a stage musical.

But Nicole Stodard, Thinking Cap Theatre's producing artistic director has found two women whom she knows can more than fill the bill. The fascinating relationship between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West will be examined in Eileen Atkins' Vita & Virginia which will run at The Vanguard, Broward County's newest performing arts space, now through May 3rd.

According to BBC News, actor Kenneth Branagh, X Factor judge and Diamond Jubilee songwriter Gary Barlow, Royal Shakespeare Company Artistic Director Michael Boyd, and more were awarded knighthoods at Queen's Birthday Honours on June 15. Film star Kate Winslet was also recognized as a CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire), among others.

The nominations were released this morning for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. Mad Men topped the list with 19 nominations, followed by Boardwalk Empire with 18, Modern Family with 17, Saturday Night Live with 16, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock with 13 and GLEE with 12. Lots of theatre stars received nominations this year as well, check out the complete list below!

After 362 flights at the Comedy Theatre, Matthew Warchus' hilarious and critically acclaimed West End production of Boeing-Boeing is finally coming in to land on January 5, 2008 prior to boarding an international flight with stopovers on Broadway, New York, Australia and on tour in the UK. Piloting into its twelfth month Boeing-Boeing will have checked in over 170,000 passengers during its London run.
