A slew of Broadway favorites will return to Broadway in the upcoming theatre season, including Alan Cumming, who will will star as 'the Emcee' in Cabaret (set to open at Studio 54 on April 24, 2014).

Red Bull Theater presents the first-ever Off Broadway revival of Loot by Joe Orton. Red Bull Artistic Director Jesse Berger directs a company that includes Rebecca Brooksher (Fay), Eric Martin Brown (Meadows), Jarlath Conroy (McLeavy), Ryan Garbayo (Dennis), Rocco Sisto (Truscott), and Nick Westrate (Hal). Loot will have scenic design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Sara Jean Tosetti, lighting design by Scott Zielinski, and sound design by Brad Berridge.

SONNET REPERTORY THEATRE celebrates eleven years of classic theatre for a modern planet with a production of Jean Genet's THE MAIDS, directed by Christopher Schilder (resident director, National Tour, Billy Elliot). THE MAIDS will play a limited engagement at the Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). Performances begin Friday, November 22 and continue through Sunday, December 1. Opening Night is Saturday, November 23 (7:30 pm).

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the CUNY Graduate Center has announced its Fall 2013 season of public programs. Roundabout Theatre Company has officially announced that Oscar nominee Michelle Williams will star for the first time on Broadway as 'Sally Bowles' in its upcoming production of Cabaret. She will take the stage at Studio 54 alongside Alan Cumming as the Emcee, reprising the role that won him a Tony Award in 1998.

Based on the 1947 original text by Louis Jouvet, 'The Maids,' by French playwright Jean Genet, revolves around two sadomasochistic housemaids Solange and Claire who imagine and improvise a thousand and one ways to murder Madame, the mistress of the house. Both housemaids take turns and dress up like their employer to insult the latter.
