Just in time for June Pride Month, The Pear Theatre concludes its 21st Season with the beloved musical Falsettos by William Finn and James Lapine - winner of two 1992 Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical, and nominated for five 2016 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical. 

Reyes | Finn  will present Practice, the gallery’s third solo exhibition of work by Detroit-based artist James Benjamin Franklin, which will be on view from January 15th–February 26th, 2022.

The fact that William Finn and James Lapine's 1992 Broadway musical FALSETTOS began as two separate one-act musicals - parts two and three of a trilogy - that premiered Off-Broadway nine years apart makes it unique theatre piece, especially when you consider that the heighted awareness of the AIDS epidemic that occurred during those nine years gave each one, despite being about the same characters, significantly different tones.

Four new artists and companies have been selected to join The Point for the next 18 months as Associate Artists. Producer Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, announced today that William Finn and James Lapine's landmark musical, Falsettos, the theatrical masterpiece that forever reshaped our collective definition of family, will return to Broadway next Spring with an all new production directed by Mr. Lapine. Falsettos premiered on Broadway in 1992 - after its characters first captured the hearts of theatergoers Off Broadway - garnering rave reviews and seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, and going onto win for Best Original Score (Finn) and Best Book of a Musical (Lapine and Finn).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has confirmed it will release an extended edition of Bryan Singer's X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, that will 'restor some of the scenes-and subplots-cut out of the original edition.'

SPAMALOT may be based on the Monty Python film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but the musical differs greatly from the film on which it is based. While both the musical and film have hilarity in common, the story's transition onto stage provides some interesting differences. The musical, which premiered on Broadway in 2005 has since graced stages internationally and garnered three Tony awards. The original Broadway cast of the show that spoofs the Arthurian legend boasted Sara Ramirez, Christian Borle, Tim Curry and more! This may be quite the act to follow, but the Lower Ossington Theatre's current production of the laugh-out-loud show does a good job at creating a similar atmosphere and staying true to the overall show.

Over the last 12 years, the artistic team at San Pedro's Little Fish Theatre has undertaken an extensive process, this year selecting from over 600 submitted manuscripts from around the world to be included in their annual PICK OF THE VINE production. The nine plays selected this year are a theatrical sampling akin to flights of wine - delightful sips of comedy and drama that provide an opportunity to experience a wide range of unique stories in a single evening.
