The American Theatre Wing announced today that its annual Gala, which honored newly minted EGOT recipient Andrew Lloyd Webber last night at Cipriani 42nd Street, raised a record breaking total of $1,652,502 in support of the Wing's programs and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative Legacy Fund, breaking all previous records.

For the 2017-18 season, “Nightline” drew 1.343 million Total Viewers, 486,000 Adults 25-54 and 367,000 Adults 18-49. “Nightline” beat CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in Adults 25-54 (+32,000 - 486,000 vs. 454,000) and Adults 18-49 (+30,000 - 367,000 vs. 337,000) during the season. 

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has delivered a dominant demographic win in late-night ratings for Sept. 17-21, taking the week versus its ABC and CBS timeslot competition in key every key demographic – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

As BroadwayWorld reported in July, Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson will lead Tom Hooper's upcoming film adaptation of CATs as 'Grizabella', alongside Ian McKellen, James Corden, and Taylor Swift. CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, today announced a new original straight-to-series order for WHY WOMEN KILL, a darkly comedic drama created by Marc Cherry ('Desperate Housewives,' 'Devious Maids'). The series will be produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios. Creator Marc Cherry will serve as executive producer alongside Imagine's Brian Grazer ('Empire,' 'Genius') and Francie Calfo ('Empire,' 'Genius'), and Acme Productions' Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.
