For 30 years the Women's Blues Revue has been bringing blues lovers together for an evening honouring the contributions to the genre of some of Canada's finest musicians. Over the years, the Women's Blues revue has brought artists like Serena Ryder, Molly Johnson, Amanda Marshall, Jackie Richardson, Sass Jordan and more together on the stage to celebrate the past, present and future of blues music in Canada.

Imani Enterprises presents the Toronto premiere of She Said/He Said, created and directed by award-winning artist Anne-Marie Woods (aka Amani). She Said/He Said is a play where spoken word, theatre, conflict and comedy join hands for a tragi-comic and complex look at relationships. The female/male rapport is laid bare in this battle of wits with the multi-talented Woods starring as SHE and Dora Mavor Moore Award winner Matthew G Brown as HE. She Said/He Said runs Wednesday, September 14 through Sunday, September 18 (with Media Night September 15) at Native Earth's AKI Studio (inside Daniels Spectrum) in Regent Park.

In just over two weeks since she wowed crowds at Soulpepper's Global Cabaret, the great Jackie Richardson joins some of Canada's finest musical theatre talent to celebrate the ;music of Billy Joel and Elton John. Following last year's sold-out Sting concert, 'Uncovered: Billy Joel & Elton John,' this is Acting Up Stage Company's eighth annual concert dedicated to the musical catalogue of a pop star. And for the first time this year, the company has added a second concert to meet demand. The concert will take place Wednesday and Thursday Nov. 12th and 13th at Toronto's Koerner Hall in the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning, aka the Royal Conservatory of Music. Show time is 8 p.m.

Without a doubt, Soulpepper Theatre Company's Global Cabaret Festival is my favorite Toronto arts festival. It's like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get. Forrest Gump would dig it. Each year I'm tempted to bring my sleeping bag and just camp out for the weekend.

Regina Carter and Nnenna Freelon will replace the previously announced Tony and Grammy winner Dee Dee Bridgewater in today's December 14, 2013 concert celebrating the 90th birthdays of Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan. The Royal Conservatory congratulates Ms. Bridgewater on her role in the upcoming off-Broadway production of Lady Day, in which she will portray legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday. The production begins September 12, which is the reason Ms. Bridgewater had to cancel her Conservatory appearance in December.
