Art Brussels 2016 Announces Details of Exhibitions

The 34th edition of Art Brussels will take place in a new location, Tour & Taxis, a spectacular example of industrial architecture built in 1904, formerly a customs house. This year, the fair has been reduced in size, bringing together 141 galleries from 28 countries, represented in three main sections: PRIME, DISCOVERY and a new section, REDISCOVERY. There will also be 24 galleries participating in SOLO, a section dedicated to the presentation of individual artists' work.

Matthew Steffens is one of the nine uniquely brilliant choreographers of BOUNTIFUL: A Teacher's Journey, R.Evolucion Latina's 2016 Choreographers Festival. He has served as the associate choreographer for the Broadway production of Doctor Zhivago and of the Off-Broadway immersive hit Queen of the Night. Matthew has performed on Broadway in Promises, Promises and Women on the Verge of A Nervous Breakdown and now he is starring in R.Evolucion Latina's (RL) new production.

June bursts with contemporary dance as the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF) brings its bold mix of global and local artists to the South Lake Union neighborhood for a 16-day dance profusion. For this eleventh anniversary year, the festival expands its footprint by adding Capitol Hill's Broadway Performance Hall as the venue for some of the Inter|National and Spotlight Series programs. The popular, and free, Art on the Fly moves to May 21 to sync with the SLU Market. This coordinated effort between SIDF, Amazon.com and the SLU Chamber is expected to enliven the evolving, vibrant neighborhood all day long. As in previous years, evening indoor festival performances kickoff at SLU's Raisbeck Hall; third week evening performances are inside Capitol Hill's larger Broadway Performance Hall.
