According to Digitalspy.com, British actress Kate Winslet is to receive an honorary C sar Award next month. The French Academy of Cinematic Arts and Techniques has announced that it will pay tribute to Winslet's life and acting career by honoring her with the French equivalent of the Academy Award.

Today marks the 108th birthday of the late, legendary artist Al Hirschfeld. This month, to mark the occasion, The Al Hirschfeld Foundation celebrates the life and legacy of the artist with two upcoming events at Doyle New York: The new official website of Al Hirschfeld, www.AlHirschfeldFoundation.org launched yesterday, June 20th in commemoration of the artist's 108th birthday. The site features theater, film, television, music, and dance drawings, as seen through the eyes and drawn by the hand of Al Hirschfeld. The site gives fans access to over 10,000 works searchable by personality, production, date, publisher, and genre. Never before has a Hirschfeld exhibition, published collection or online exhibition of this size been available online.
