Mad Cow Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the poignant musical The Secret Garden, with book and lyrics by Marsha Norman and music by Lucy Simon, based on the 1911 classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The Secret Garden will open Nov. 20, 2015 in the Harriett Theatre at Mad Cow Theatre in downtown Orlando.

The Winter Park Playhouse presents their original, world-premiere production Isn't It Romantic? A Tribute To Rodgers and Hart tonight, November 14-23 and December 4-13, 2014. This tribute to the legendary composing team of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart features an assortment of popular hits from this famous duo, including 'My Funny Valentine,' 'Blue Moon,' 'The Lady Is A Tramp' and many more!

Season 18 at the Mad Cow Theatre Company is here, and up first: THE WHO'S TOMMY. The 1993 Best Musical nominee is considered to be Broadway's first Rock Opera turned Rock Musical. Shows like Greenday's AMERICAN IDIOT, Stew's PASSING STRANGE, and, more recently, David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's HERE LIES LOVE all followed. But it was The Who that first took their concept rock album and turned it into a warm-blooded stage musical. In doing so they attracted a younger audience (that once looked at Musical Theatre as something their grandparents listened to on vinyl) to Broadway.

Asolo Repertory Theatre's production of Bonnie & Clyde opened on November 19. Jay Handelman reports in today's Herald-Tribune that the show is heading next to Broadway in August of 2011. The article reports that: 'We're planning to go to Broadway in August. We're going to Broadway, absolutely,' said Jerry Frankel, a veteran Broadway producer who is partnered with Jeffrey Richards. They are represented on Broadway by 'Bloody Blood Andrew Jackson,' 'The Merchant of Venice' with Al Pacino and 'A Life in the Theatre.'
