Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Sammy, a new musical based on the life of Sammy Davis, Jr. with book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, and additional songs by Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Directed by Keith Glover with choreography by Keith Young and music supervision by Ian Fraser, Sammy will run in the Old Globe Theatre Sept. 19 - Nov. 8. Previews run from Sept. 19 - Oct. 1. Opening night is Oct. 2 at 8:00 p.m.

Fidelity FutureStage® Playwriting Contest winner Madeline Hendricks is headed to Broadway's Imperial Theatre on June 15 to see her play produced by the Tony Award® winning creative team of Billy Elliot the Musical. Hendricks had the opportunity to celebrate by meeting Elton John, Billy Elliot the Musical composer and honorary chairperson of Fidelity FutureStage.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present a workshop of the Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander, book and lyrics by Adam Mathias, June 6 - 13 at The New 42nd Street Studios. The workshop, which is directed by Transport Group artistic director Jack Cummings III, is being presented for an invited audience.

For $26.50, with a valid student ID, students will not only learn about CARE, but also get to hear some of their favorite Broadway performers sing. Plus, they will get to attend the post-concert reception where they'll have the opportunity to bid on special 'student only' silent auction items such as memorabilia signed by some of Broadways biggest stars. The original off-Broadway cast of the musical FIVE COURSE LOVE (Minetta Lane Theatre, 2005) went into the studios on January 9th and 10th in New York City to record the show's cast album. FIVE COURSE LOVE, with book, music and lyrics by Gregg Coffin, tells the story of five entangled encounters with love in five different restaurants. The scores varied musical styles reflect the cuisines of the different eateries: Country & Western, Italian, German cabaret, Mexican and 50's Doo Wop.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to welcome Broadway's Becca Ayers for a one night only concert that will feature her own music, as well as a special guest appearance from her sister, Heather Ayers. This one night only concert takes place on Monday, July 28 @ 7pm. There is a $15 cover, as well as a $15 food or beverage minimum (a full bar and dinner menu is available).
