Last week, Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, FL welcomed Legally Blonde's Original Producer Hal Luftig to the school for a day of master classes with DSOA theatre students and a performance of DSOA's production of Legally Blonde. Luftig, winner of four Tony Awards and Producer of such Broadway hits as Kinky Boots, Evita, Legally Blonde, Movin' Out and Thoroughly Modern Millie, enlightened the young actors about the theatre business and will hopefully return in the future!

Producer of KINKY BOOTS, Hal Luftig, presented the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) with the Tony Award for 2013 Best Musical during PPAC's 2014/2015 season announcement today. PPAC President J.L. 'Lynn' Singleton accepted the award on behalf of the Theatre.

Kinky Boots - The Road to Broadway, a presentation of CUNY TV's ARTS IN THE CITY, returns for five encore broadcasts over the weekend beginning Friday, Feb. 28 (2014). Hosted by New York entertainment reporter Pat Collins, the popular show will air at 9am, 2pm and 8pm, and will repeat on Saturday 3/1 at 7pm and Sunday 3/2 at 8:30am.

Audience members at the smash hit musical Kinky Boots were in for a special treat last night, when Sky, the Wire Fox Terrier who was named 'Best in Show' at the Westminster Dog Show earlier this week, made a surprise appearance in the Tony Award-winning show. Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig have announced new leads for their smash hit musical Kinky Boots; Andy Kelso, who currently plays 'Harry', will take over the role of 'Charlie Price' on January 28, 2014 following Stark Sands' January 26 departure. Jeanna de Waal will join the cast as 'Lauren,' beginning March 4, 2014 (replacing Annaleigh Ashford, who leaves to join the cast of Showtime's 'Masters of Sex'), and Jake Odmark joins the ensemble in the roles previously played by Andy Kelso. As previously announced, Billy Porter, this year's Tony Award-winner for Best Actor in a Musical, will remain with Kinky Boots.

Billy Porter, this year's Tony Award-winner for Best Actor in a Musical, has extended his contract in Kinky Boots, producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today; Porter will remain with the show at least through July 2014. They also announced that Natalie Joy Johnson (Legally Blonde) will join the cast of the smash hit musical, taking over for Tory Ross on December 23, 2013.
