A premiere concert of the brand new song cycle NIGHTS AT THE PIANO by Svetlana Orel is coming to the Duplex Cabaret Theatre on October 18th. The four characters of the show sing about love, identity and coming-of-age troubles of the young performers living in New York City.
Irene Bedard To Star In OUR TOWN At Perseverance Theatre

Irene Bedard, the Anchorage-born actor of Native descent who gave voice to Pocahontas in the Disney animated films, among other groundbreaking roles, will play the Stage Manager in Perseverance Theatre's 40th season opener, Our Town. The iconic American drama by Thornton Wilder, featuring an all-Alaskan cast directed by Art Rotch, will play Oct. 5-Nov. 3 at the theatre in Juneau, and Nov. 9-25 at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts in Anchorage.

For the past several years, the Long Beach Playhouse has offered its upstairs Studio Theatre, to individuals and theater groups to mount their own shows. There is a nominal cost and tickets sales are split between the presenting group or individual and the Playhouse. Most shows last just one weekend and some are only one night. The offerings range from original works to improv and a recreation of Hal Holbrook's Mark Twain Tonight.

Oscar-Winner Robert Port To Direct WWII Thriller PEACE with Alexander Ludwig

Enderby Entertainment today announced that Academy Award-winning director Robert Port will write and direct the World War II action thriller PEACE, based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Richard Bausch. The film will star Alexander Ludwig and Sam Keeley and is being produced by Enderby's Rick Dugdale (AN ORDINARY MAN, INTRIGO TRILOGY) and by Richard Bullock. Maury Povich and Ludwig will serve as Executive Producers, which reunites Povich and Port after their Oscar-winning film Twin Towers. Principal photography is set to commence later this month in British Columbia.
