Hope Mill Theatre's PIPPIN Will Transfer to Southwark Playhouse

Jonathan O'Boyle's acclaimed production of the multi-Tony Award-winning musical Pippin by Grammy and Academy Award recipient Stephen Schwartz (composer of the global smash hit Wicked) will transfer to Southwark Playhouse's Large space in spring 2018.

The rock musical HAIR opens at London's fully immersive Off-West-End theatre, The Vaults, from Wednesday 4 October 2017 and is now to run to Saturday 13 January 2018. Opening night will be on Wednesday 11 October 2017, and the 50th Anniversary Gala will be held on Tuesday 17 October. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the company in rehearsal below!
Starz Developing New 'Black Samaurai' Series Starring Common

Starz announced today it is developing the action-drama series under the working title 'Black Samurai' with Jerry Bruckheimer Television starring Academy Award(R) winner Common (John Wick 2, Suicide Squad, Selma), who will also executive produce under his Freedom Road Productions banner. Wu-Tang Clan's RZA (Kill Bill 1 & 2, American Gangster, 'Gang Related') and Mitchell Diggs will also executive produce for Wu Films.

HAIR's new 50th anniversary production is to have a HAIR extension through to New Year 2018! The show was due to run until early December but already due to popular demand the show is now extending for a further 6 weeks to SUNDAY 14 JANUARY 2018 - the perfect night out especially over the Festive Season!

YANK! is based on the Off-Broadway hit production from 2010, with book and lyrics by American writer David Zellnik, with his brother Joseph Zellnik's musical score paying homage to the timeless music of the 1940s. The musical is directed by James Baker, and is produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, Hope Mill Theatre, Ben Millerman with Jim Kierstead and Guy James. London Transfer of YANK! Finds Full Company
