Today the Orpheum Theatre Group unveiled the 2018-2019 Broadway Season during an announcement party at the historic Orpheum Theatre. Attendees were the first to hear about next season's exciting offerings that includes July 2019 dates for HAMILTON.

Famed choreographer and director Luis Salgado ("In the Heights" and "On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan") returns to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) to direct and choreograph "Ragtime, the Musical," and will host a post-show "talk back" and reception with the cast on opening night, March 3; tickets are available at www.axelrodartscenter.com.

The epic story returns. Tony Kushner's two-part play, ANGELS IN AMERICA makes its way back to Broadway tonight! A cast led by Tony nominee Andrew Garfield and two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane will begin previews tonight at the Neil Simon Theatre with Part 1: Millennium Approaches. Disney Theatrical Productions, Dallas Summer Musicals, Inc. (DSM) and Broadway Across America (BAA) announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public today. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Music Hall at Fair Park stage on June 13, 2018 for a limited 4 week engagement through July 7, 2018.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) arts education programs hosted over 1,000 students in grades 3-12, during the run of the national touring production of ON YOUR FEET! last week.  ON YOUR FEET! was presented by RBTL and Albert Nocciolino as part of the 2017-2018 M&T Bank Broadway Season at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre.  These students studied the themes of ON YOUR FEET! and how they relate to everyday life, prior to attending a performance of the show at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre. 

Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia Guest Conductor, today invited the public to attend 17 musical performances during March and April 2018, including the collaborative production of Jerry Herman's Milk and Honey in recognition of the 70th anniversary of the birth of Israel.

International Festival, an annual free, day-long festival that celebrates the cultural heritage in the community, returns to Overture Center for 2018 on Saturday, Feb. 24., from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in conjunction with an 8 p.m. performance by South Africa's Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, announced today the six productions that will comprise the lineup for its 10th anniversary season - ON YOUR FEET! (October 9-14, 2018), based on the story and music of 26-time Grammy Award-winning icons Emilio and Gloria Estefan; the 10-time Tony Award-nominated hilarious new musical smash SOMETHING ROTTEN! (January 29-February 3, 2019); Andrew Lloyd Webber's beloved iconic musical CATS (February 19-24, 2019); the hit Broadway musical DISNEY'S ALADDIN (April 10-21, 2019); the stunning new production of the acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (May 21-26, 2019); and the brand-new Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway and West End smash hit SCHOOL OF ROCK - THE MUSICAL (June 4-9, 2019). Two season add-on productions will be announced at a later date.

This fun, thoroughly enjoyable production stylishly recounts the behind-the-music story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan as told through the legendary songbook they created with the Miami Sound Machine.

Today, the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre announced its line-up of shows for its 2018 - 2019 season, presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association. HAMILTON will play its New Orleans engagement March 12 - 31, 2019, and anchor the Broadway in New Orleans season with six other shows. Along with one special option, the new season represents a wide range of Tony Award® winners and song-and-dance favorites for New Orleans audiences to enjoy.

Broadway performer and choreographer Luis Salgado ('In the Heights' and 'On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan') returns to the Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) to direct and choreograph 'Ragtime, the Musical,' his second show at this up-and-coming Jersey Shore theater. 'Ragtime' will run for ten performances between March 3 and 25, and tickets are available at www.axelrodartscenter.com.

Sasha Allen (The Voice, Pippin, Hair, Camp) and Ricardo Zayas (Hamilton) will join Aurora Barnes in Somewhere Between Sondheim and Lullabies at Feinstein's/54 Below on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 7pm. A portion of the proceeds from the show will benefit TADA! Youth Theater, of which Aurora, Sasha, and Ricardo are all alumni. Come hear songs ranging from Sondheim to Bob Dylan to Aurora's original compositions.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League's ON YOUR FEET! and Living Healthy Education Program, sponsored in part by Glover Crask Charitable Trust, is a partnership between Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) and the City of Rochester's Recreational Centers (R-Centers), integrating the arts and Touring Broadway into a dual-language theater arts physical fitness program in connection with the ON YOUR FEET! touring production. With over 200 participants, this program will promote ways to build a culture of healthy living and advocates physical well-being through active participation in the performing arts; specifically the music, dance and story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan. Participants will exercise together, acquire the tools to design a healthy lifestyle plan, receive resources and engage in a Broadway theater experience, together as a family.
