From January 28 through February 4, 2017, Florida Grand Opera presents, Tchaikovsky's best loved opera, Eugene Onegin, at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. This run is followed by performances on February 9 and 11 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale.

 A season of superb music and spectacle is now on sale to Lyric subscribers - including three new mainstage opera productions, three new-to-Chicago opera productions, one new musical production, and one new-to-Chicago chamber opera production.

Palm Beach Opera presents Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto for one weekend only, March 10-12, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. One of the most popular operas in the repertoire, Rigoletto is "a must-see masterpiece" of passion and vengeance, filled with some of opera's most famous arias, such as "La donna e mobile," and "Questa o quella."

This week audiences have one last chance to experience Florida Grand Opera's (FGO) critically praised production of Tchaikovsky's romantic classic Eugene Onegin - with a pair of performances at Broward Center for the Performing Arts' Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale, Thursday February 9 and Saturday, February 11, both at 7:30pm.

Opera San Jose today announced the company's 2017-18 season opening September 19, 2017 with Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, conducted by Peter Grunberg and directed by Brad Dalton, followed by Puccini's La rondine, conducted by Christopher Larkin and directed by Candice Evans.

Florida Grand Opera's Broward Affiliate, The Opera Society will host a Gala on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The gala will support The Opera Society's mission to foster community interest in opera, promote friendship and provide charitable, educational and cultural projects throughout Broward County.

The partnership between San Francisco Opera and the Bay Area's Classical KDFC continues with monthly broadcasts of performances captured during the Fall 2016 Season, including the world premiere of Bright Sheng and David Henry Hwang's Dream of the Red Chamber, and a historic broadcast from the Company's archives. Acclaimed Music Director Xian Zhang and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra present Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto and Elgar's Enigma Variations, February 23-26 in Englewood, Newark, Red Bank and Morristown. Pianist Kirill Gerstein-hailed as "alarmingly gifted" by Classical Review-returns to perform the Rachmaninoff concerto, one of the most enduring works in the canon.

San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock and Music Director Nicola Luisotti today announced plans for the 2017-18 repertory season. The Company's 95th season will open Friday, September 8 with a gala performance of Giacomo Puccini'sTurandot led by Maestro Luisotti and an international cast starring Martina Serafin, Maria Agresta and Brian Jagde.
