Utah Opera Opens Season With Puccini's TOSCA, 10/10

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (Sept. 28, 2015) – Utah Opera takes audiences on a heart-stopping journey of forbidden love, loyalty, betrayal and tragedy in the 2015-16 season opening production of Puccini's “Tosca”. The performances, held at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theater, are October 10, 12, 14, and 16 at 7:30 PM, then October 18 at 2 PM. Andrea Bocelli to Perform with the Philly POPS in December

Frank Giordano, President of The Philly POPS, is proud to announce a landmark concert with Andrea Bocelli. For the first time in over a decade, Andrea Bocelli will return to Philadelphia as part of his December 2015 North American tour accompanied by The Philly Pops and conducted by Eugene Kohn. Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley will be the special guest along with Soprano Aida Garifullina. The concert will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. Bocelli brings his unmatched repertoire of soaring arias, famed love songs, and crossover hits to his Philadelphia fans who have waited for more than a decade for the Tenor's return. The Philly POPS Subscribers and Patrons will receive special presale opportunities. Special VIP packages will also be available through the Philly POPS.

Chicago Opera Theater (COT) kicks its 2015/16 season off with the Chicago premiere of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's passionate story of love, power, bloody conspiracies and revenge, 'Lucio Silla' at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance (205. E. Randolph Drive) Sept. 26 - Oct. 4, 2015. Directed and designed by COT General Director Andreas Mitisek and conducted by the acclaimed Francesco Milioto, the opera, was written by the musical prodigy as a teenager for Milan's Teatro Regio Ducal in 1772.
