Stephen Sondheim's macabre musical thriller Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street receives its highly anticipated San Francisco Opera premiere in a production featuring a cast of notable operatic stars and performed with Sondheim's original score for the lyric stage.
Target Margin Theater's REREAD ANOTHER Encore Begins 9/24 at The Brick

Target Margin Theater, who last year dedicated their season to the exploration of works created by the great American novelist, poet and playwright Gertrude Stein, will launch their 2015-2016 Season with an encore presentation of Reread Another based on Gertrude Stein's "Reread Another A Play To Be Played Indoors or Out I Wish to Be a School." Directed by David Herskovits, the three member cast will feature Clare Barron, Purva Bedi, and Ugo Chukwu. Performances begin Thursday, September 24, 2015 for a limited engagement through Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn). Opening night is set for Monday, September 28, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

Kokandy Productions is pleased to continue its 2015 season with LOVING REPEATING, a musical tribute to the life and loves of celebrated American author Gertrude Stein. Using Stein's own works as lyrics, LOVING REPEATING is adapted by Frank Galati (The Grapes of Wrath, The Accidental Tourist), with music by Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island, Seussical) direction by Co-Artistic Director Allison Hendrix, music direction by Resident Music Director Kory Danielson and choreography by Andrea Louise Soule. LOVING REPEATING will play July 18 - August 30, 2015 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. The Harwood Museum of Art in Taos, New Mexico announces one of its largest and most important traveling exhibitions, coming in the spring of 2016. The exhibition will be the first to showcase the impact of Mabel Dodge Luhan (1879-1962), and her circle of artist, writer, and activist friends, on shaping American Modernism. The exhibition is an exploration Mabel Dodge Luhan's life and influence, within the context of early 20th century American history and the Southwest, and an exploration of how the tiny multicultural community of Taos became an important center of the modernist art movement.
