Passersby in Lower Manhattan got a treat on Saturday afternoon. As a part of NY PopsUp- the sprawling arts festival intended to bring back the arts sector in New York State, Tony Award winner Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, and Ximone Rose united to bring music back to the city.

The second NY PopsUp performance took place this weekend, featuring Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, and more. Watch the group perform “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” in a clip from the concert!

NY PopsUp has announced the lineup for its next performance, taking place this Saturday, February 27. This weekend's performance will feature a 'musical collaboration' between Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, Ximone Rose, Nadia Digiallonardo, Meg Toohey, and Marq Walls.

The inaugural NY PopsUp performance took place on Saturday, February 20, at 12:30 for staff at the Javits Center.  The event was a NYC Love Riot led by Jon Batiste, featuring Ayodele Casel and Anthony Roth Costanzo in Manhattan and Brooklyn. 

NY PopsUp is an expansive festival consisting of hundreds of pop-up performances that will regularly permeate the daily lives of New Yorkers. It is intended to revitalize the spirit and emotional well-being of New York citizens through the energy of live performance.

Word for Word's first production of the 2020 Season is Octavio Solis's Retablos: Stories from A Life Lived Along the Border from his same titled memoir of growing up in El Paso. Retablos: Stories from A Life Lived Along the Border runs February 22 -March 15, in the Z Below Theater in San Francisco. The production is directed by Sheila Balter and Jim Cave and opens with press performance February 22 & 23, Saturday 8 PM & Sunday 3 PM (previews Feb.19- 21).

The Old Globe today announced its latest cast and creative team as the illustrious actors in The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program expertly perform William Shakespeare's magical comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Jesse Perez, the program's Director of Professional Training and a noted actor (Off Broadway's Party People, the Globe's Romeo and Juliet, La Jolla Playhouse's Seize the King). Word for Word and Z Space will stage an immersive production of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's legendary Rime of the Ancient Mariner  with a press night of Saturday September 21 at 8pm running through October 12 (Previews Sept 11-15, 18-20) .   Rime of the Ancient Mariner is to be directed by Jim Cave and Delia MacDougall with a cast that features Nathaniel Andalis, Lucas Brandt, Robert Ernst*, Darryl V. Considered by some to be a 'green parable,' this epic voyage is a tale of man's crime against nature, with the shooting of the magnificent albatross--and the havoc which nature wreaks in return. 

The 12th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival, presented by Zappos, today announces additional programming - including shorts, labs and special screenings.
