If you've seen the Johnny Depp 2004 film, 'Finding Neverland,' you're aware of the story of playwright J. M. Barrie and how his relationship with widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her four boys, George, Jack, Peter and Michael, inspired him to write the classic play, 'Peter Pan.' If you haven't, you can find the whole movie online, or just Google it like everything else these days.

Based on the Academy Award-winning movie of the same name, FINDING NEVERLAND is the Broadway musical that tells the captivating story of how Peter became Pan. The North American Tour is currently flying across the country with six young boys on a rotating schedule covering the four Llewelyn Davies brothers, George, Peter, Jack, and Michael. Four of the boys took time out of their busy schedules to sit down and answer some questions about life as a child on the road!

I entered the comforting lobby of the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, received my press kit and took a seat near the window. The house opened in about 20 minutes, so I struck up a conversation with the man sitting a couple chairs away. He asked me where I was from. "South Florida," I told him. He went on to tell me how he lived in Miami for many years but eventually settled in Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was talking to Gordon Bressack, the writer/director/producer of MURDER, ANYONE?, the show I was about to watch. He mentioned his son always questioned him about doing plays in L.A. when the bigger theater scene was on the east coast. Bressack always felt L.A. was more than just a city for film.

Burning Coal Theatre Company will present their regular Oakwood 'cemetery full of life!' plays in May, this year highlighting notable immigrants and their contributions to the Raleigh community. Directed by George Jack of St. Augustine's University, the plays will run May 19-21, 2017 at the Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh NC. Friday and Saturday performances will be at 6:30pm, Sundaywill be at 2pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets will be sold on the day of the performance or can be purchased by phone at 919.834.4001. It was indeed an emotional night at Long Island's SoLuna Studio annual holiday concert. As the Hauppauge venue turns more to their educational programming and Children's theatre - though not completely eliminating their main stage shows - owners Karen Braun and Megan Pietroforte took time with patrons to celebrate and reflect on their 5 years of wonderful theatre thus far.
