Beginning at 5 p.m. tonight, three hours before the main GRAMMY Awards show, the pre-telecast Ceremony will announce awards in 70 additional categories, including musical theater. It will be hosted by David Alan Grier, who is nominated for a Grammy for his performance in The Gershwin's PORGY AND BESS on Broadway.

The Studebakers, known for their beautiful vocal blends and swinging harmonies will appear as part of The TexARTS Cabaret Series on Friday, February 22 at 8p.m. Expect to rediscover those marvelous melodies from the 1920's, '30's and '40's in an evening that will feature such hits as, 'Mr. Sandman,' 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' and 'Dream a Little Dream of Me.' The Studebakers have been a staple of the Austin music scene for over 20 years and are known for their fresh renditions of the classics made famous by the Andrews Sisters, Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong and others.

Florida Studio Theatre will open By Gershwin: A Tribute to George and Ira in the Goldstein Cabaret on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 7:30pm. With a light touch and subtle wit, she divines the meanings encoded in the things with which we surround ourselves. The Jewish Museum invited Bloom to create an installation drawn from its 25,000 works of ceremonial, decorative, and fine art. Her presentation sets a selection of over 270 pieces in unconventional contexts, and offers visitors new ways to view the Museum and its holdings. As it were ...
