Seth Meyers, one of late night's most important comedy voices, has been named host of the 75TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS. The telecast is set to air live coast to coast from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Jan. 7 from 8-11 p.m. ET (5-8 p.m. PT) on NBC.

The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) have announced nominations for outstanding achievement in television, new media, news, radio/audio, and promotional writing during 2017. Winners will be honored at the 2018 Writers Guild Awards on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at concurrent ceremonies in New York City and Los Angeles.

Smithsonian magazine previously announced the winners of the 2017 American Ingenuity Awards. Dave Malloy, creator, and Rachel Chavkin, director of the renowned Broadway musical Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, are being honored with the American Ingenuity Award in History. According to Variety, Fred Armisen is on board for the new Spanish language HBO pilot. The comedian is set to write, star and executive produce the new project. The new half hour show is premised on a group of friends who are fanatical about horror films.
