Cirque du Soleil Draws a Star-Studded Turnout in Las Vegas at 4th Annual One-Night Benefit

On Friday, March 18, some of the biggest names in entertainment came out to support One Night for One Drop imagined by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, joining GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Leona Lewis and TV star Miles "Baby Boogaloo" Brown as they raised funds and awareness for critical water issues worldwide. Presented by MGM Resorts International, McLaren Automotive and Zappos.com, the star-studded benefit generated $6.5 million for ONE DROP's global water initiatives, with all proceeds supporting water access and conservation programs across the globe.

Frankie Moreno Returns to the Smith Center's Cabaret Jazz, Beginning Tonight

Following a successful 12-show, limited-engagement residency, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce that Frankie Moreno will return for another 10 shows beginning next month. Starting tonight, July 14, and running through Sept. 29, dark July 28 and Aug. 4, Moreno will perform Tuesday evenings in Cabaret Jazz at 8 p.m.

Maybe there is a ticket floating around somewhere, but tonight's New York Pops concert has again sold out. Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster is making her solo debut at Carnegie Hall with The Pops. Maestro Reineke has put together a exciting program which also features Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis. From what I heard at the rehearsal, the Carnegie audience is going to be glad they got a ticket to this one.

Las Vegas' Smith Center for the Performing Arts is an extraordinary place. It's diverse programs encompass just about all of the performing arts. The building, designed by David M. Schwartz is a Neo Art Deco design and features a 47-bell carillon housed in a 17-story carillon tower. The design, Schwartz said at the opening, was chosen to echo the design elements of Hoover Dam, located 30 miles away. It is the first performing arts center in the United States to be Gold LEED certified. After three years of planning and construction, it opened on March 10, 2012.

Las Vegas Names Feb. 19 MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Day

This morning (Thursday, Feb. 19) Clark County named Feb. 19 "MDQ Vegas Day" in honor of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET's second anniversary on the Las Vegas Strip. County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani joined the cast in celebration of the occasion onstage in the Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas for a presentation of the proclamation. The cast and crew of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET shared their thanks and appreciation with the commissioner and were joined by friends and family in honor of the special day.

On March 13, 2015, The New York Pops continues its 31st season with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster in her solo debut at Carnegie Hall. Among other musical standards, Foster will reprise her unforgettable performances of "Anything Goes" and "I Get a Kick Out of You" from her Tony Award-winning turn as Reno Sweeney in the Cole Porter classic. She will also offer her own take on "Down with Love," made famous by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. Foster will be joined by special guest artists Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis, who will sing the showstopper "Let It Sing" from Violet, and the touching "Neverland" from Peter Pan.

Minus5 Ice Bar, the coolest bar in Las Vegas, continued their renowned celebrity cocktail program by celebrating The Top Rank Knockout Girls with their new signature cocktail the "Knockout Punch." The stunning and lively Jen Mateo, Rachel McDonough and Candice Wurster took a break from their busy fight weekend to stop by the frosty ice bar in their Top Rank uniforms. Once inside they donned the signature Minus5 fur coats and hats, and posed for photos with the new ice installations recently carved inside the Minus5 Monte Carlo Location.

On Monday, December 1, Minus5 Ice Bar, the coolest bar in Las Vegas, continued its celebrity cocktail program by honoring 'Rockstar of the Art World' Michael Godard, with a new signature cocktail - the We O-Live For This. In addition, the debut of the new limited edition signature cocktail is also a toast to the two new ice encapsulated Michael Godard paintings that are now on display in the Minus5 Monte Carlo V-'ICE'-P room. Godard suited up in one of Minus 5's black fur coats, and entered the bar to admire his paintings 'Black Jack Pimps' and 'Poker Pips,' whilst posing for photos with his line of liquor bottles, Michael Godard Vodka, as well as the signature cocktail. As Minus5 Ice Bar is always looking for featured ice carvings that capture the spirit of Las Vegas, creating an ice installation featuring Godard's art was a perfect match.
