Variety reports today that the upcoming revival of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE will open April 22, with previews beginning April 3. The show, which has been hunting for a theatre since this past summer, will take Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (which had been booked by the delayed revival of REBECCA).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'The Help's Jessica Chastain has just signed on to lend her voice in the upcoming animated film from DreamWorks, MADAGASCAR 3: Europe's Most Wanted.

MADAGASCAR 3 is coming to theaters on June 8, 2012 from Dreamworks Pictures. The animated adventure film is directed by Eric Darnell, written by Noah Baumbach and stars the voices of Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, Frances McDormand, Jada Pinkett Smith, Chris Rock, Sascha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer and Andy Richter.

New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT), which has supported the advancement of women in the entertainment industry for more than 30 years, will present their 31th annual Muse Awards at a gala luncheon to be held Wednesday, December 7th at the New York Hilton.

Working Title Films has commenced production on Joe Wright's epic love story Anna Karenina, adapted from Leo Tolstoy's classic novel by Academy Award winner Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love). Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones have announced that the role of 'Stella' will be played by two-time Tony Nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega and the role of 'Mitch' will be played by Wood Harris, in the upcoming Broadway production of A Streetcar Named Desire directed by Emily Mann. According to Black Star News, Nicole Ari Parker will star opposite Blair Underwood in the upcoming Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Emily Mann. Parker will play Blanche Du Bois in the production, which is set to open in the spring of 2012.
