Ballet School NY Sets 2015-16 Training Program

Ballet School NY, the official training school of New York Theatre Ballet, is pleased to announce its 2015-16 training program, beginning Monday, September 21, 2015 at NYTB's home studio, located at St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery, 131 E. 10th Street, 2nd Floor, New York City. Classes will be offered Monday through Saturday. Cost ranges from $1,075 to $3,940 per year, depending on the age and level of the student. New York City's Ensemble for the Romantic Century (ERC) returns to the Berkshires for the third consecutive summer with the regional premiere of the theatrical concert Van Gogh's Ear. In partnership with the American Institute for Economic Research and the Clark Art Institute, the 10-day, 12-performance series of Van Gogh's Ear complements Clark's art exhibition Van Gogh and Nature and features a special pre-performance discussion August 25th led by the Clark's curator at large, Richard Kendall.

On Wednesday, April 22nd and Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30 in FIAF's Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street), Marquis de Lafayette will be reborn in the world-premiere of Lafayette. Inspired by the letters between the young Lafayette and his wife, the play tells the story of the 19-year-old man who sailed to America as a volunteer soldier and became the youngest general in George Washington's army. The story follows the young French couple's life of adventures, and their political brinkmanship in securing support for the American cause from a reluctant king.
